Description of Position:
Performs overnight monitoring on patient while patient is asleep. Reports all relevant data to the Physician to assist in the diagnosis and /or confirmation of sleep disorder. Ensures patient safety and maintains work area in a safe and tidy condition. Maintains and updates the scheduled calibration on all equipment used in the laboratory.

Qualifications:
You hold a Baccalaureate Degree in a Biological Science, RT, RN or equivalent. You are or are eligible to become a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Ideally you have 2 years experience in a sleep lab. You are capable of working with children who have complex or progressive illnesses or disabilities. You have excellent interpersonal, communication, proven problem solving and organizational skills. You have demonstrated an attention to detail and efficient time management. You also have the ability to work well on your own as well as within a team. Basic proficiency in computers is required and current BCLS certification.

Job Description:
Casual Night Shift Technologist (part-time/full-time possible in the future)
Requirements:

  • A candidate should be registered as a RPSGT, or registry eligible (having a post-secondary degree in a related field is also acceptable).
  • Should be familiar with technical aspects of performing Level 1 polysomnography, and CPAP/BiPAP titrations.
  • Should be able to perform technical troubleshooting.
  • Computer proficiency: knowledge of MS Word and Excel, basic networking principles.
  • Must have a CPR certificate
  • We work with Russian clients a lot, so, knowing Russian is an asset.
